SERVING & PROTECTING THE WIDOWED
When Loss & Loneliness Cloud Judgment.
Every year, thousands of widows and widowers, are taken advantage of. A scam is set into motion when the con-man (or con-woman) uses a fake relationship to get access to their money or property.
Quite often a close friend or family member will sense something is wrong, and inquire about the relationship. But the widow or widower reassure them that they know what they’re doing.
By the time they realize what’s happened to them, it’s too late. They feel foolish, embarrassed and ashamed, but they shouldn’t. Because it’s not due to lack of intelligence that they’ve been scammed.
The loss and loneliness of being widowed can cloud anyone’s judgment.
Seasons Of Life
Over the past couple of months, we’ve looked at the various seasons of life; from childhood, until our lives on this earth pass away. And when we pass away, we almost always leave behind loved ones.
For those of us who choose marriage, we almost always leave a spouse behind. When the loss and loneliness of being widowed sets in…
- Who can they lean on for comfort?
- Who can they lean on for companionship?
- Who should they lean on?
- What support should a family provide?
- What support is the church called to offer?
- Who will serve them in their time of need?
