WHAT IS “FAMILY RYTHM”

Skype Interview with Pastor Steve Bourque

Parenting can be one of the most challenging, yet rewarding roles that our lives hold.

There are plenty of joys being a parent; a first step, first word, first ride on a 2-wheeler. As the child grows, the experiences become richer and we become more proud of our child’s accomplishments. Soon a child is graduating and moving into their career and the parents ask themselves, “Where did the time go?

The reality is that time does move by quicker than we want it to. In amongst all those joys of parenting, there are many moments of pain, heart-ache and discipline. All of which, can be growth opportunities.

As long as we consistently seek out the coinciding opportunities for forgiveness and restoration!

Steve Bourque is the Children’s Pastor for Bluewater Baptist Church in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He is also the author of Family Rhythm parenting and ministry philosophy. “Families grooving to a relationally strong rhythm.” (Twitter.com/FamilyRhythm)

In the following Skype interview with Steve, he will explain his Family Rhythm philosophy. Our relationship with our Heavenly Father gives us so many clues into how we can have fruitful relationships with our children. Listen as Steve breaks down the finer points of Family Rhythm within a true, tangible example from his own family.
