LISTEN TO HIM, KNOW HIM, FOLLOW HIM
3 Questions for Communicating With Our Saviour
Today we conclude our post-series with 3 questions.

As I close this post-series today, I leave you with 3 questions based on this week’s theme of Communicating With Our Saviour.
1. Am I connected to Christ?
Have I given my life to Jesus Christ? If you’re reading this and the answer to that question is “no”, then you’re missing the foundation of communication with Him.
But that’s okay. You can change that today. Wherever you are right now, you can bow your head and pray.
- Tell Him that you’re a sinner that needs saved.
- Tell Him that you believe He died on the cross for the sin in your life.
- Tell Him that you believe He rose from the dead on the third day.
- Tell Him that you want to follow Him .
- Ask Him to come into your life.
If you’ve prayed that prayer, you are now connected to Christ.
2. Am I communing with Christ?
Am I spending time in His Word? Is the Bible a daily part of my life? Have I scheduled my days and weeks in such a way that have communion with Jesus? Is it a priority? Do I need obtain some resources to help me remember or to increase my ability to study the Bible?
Feel free to open your calendar or an app store right now and make it happen.
3. Am I courageous for Christ?
Do I speak and act in such a way that people know that I follow Jesus Christ? What has He placed on my heart that scares me? What am I supposed to say for Him? What am I supposed to do for Him?
Am I making a stand as a brave follower?
A Closing Thought
Considering our ability to achieve close connectivity, communion and courage to, with and for our Saviour; I’d like to close with a quote from Francis Chan’s best seller, “Crazy Love“:
“You have to stop loving and pursuing Christ in order to sin. When you are pursuing love, running toward Christ, you do not have opportunity to wonder, ‘Am I doing this right?’ or ‘Did I serve enough this week?’ When you are running toward Christ, you are freed up to serve, love, and give thanks without guilt, worry or fear. As long as you are running, you’re safe.”

I thought that you glossed over the topic of communing or hearing the voice of Jesus as it was Him that said His sheep would know His voice. As God spoke with Abraham to sacrifice his son, Noah to build the ark, the prophecies from Isaiah and Jeremiah, how did they hear His voice? The pattern seems to be hearing the voice of God, having some internal debate and then the decision to obey what they had heard.
Thanks for your comment. I think the same ‘hearing’ (through reading and praying) and the same internal debates take place in our lives as Christians. Good point though.
