Introducing Hip-Hop Artists, Level 3:16

Posted September 7, 2011

This morning, I thought I’d throw out a music video that has really impacted me. I typically prefer pop-rock, but every once in a while certain hip-hop artists catch my attention.

Level 3:16 recently put out this video titled “Tell ‘Em“. They could have left out the verbal banter at the beginning of the video, but they were trying to set the stage for the content of this song, which is amazing! The conversational style of this artist’s rapping really pulled me in and clearly points to Jesus.

Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did! Check it out below.

  1. Hi Jeremy,
I really like the song “You love me Anyway” by the Sidewalk Prophets. It clearly outlines the gospel. I like the lyrics “I am the thorn in His brow” and the “nail in His wrist” but He loves me anyway. It shows me the dpeth of my sin and my inability to win favour with God. “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus” is also another favourite of mine.
    In Christ,

    1. Thanks for posting your thoughts Jenna! I’m not sure that I’ve checked out the Sidewalk Prophets, but I should check them out!

    1. Thanks for your comment, Morgan! Gungor definitely puts out some solid stuff. Their writing is full of fresh metaphors, layered with spiritual thought.

Your thoughts are valuable! Why not leave a few?
