Introducing Hip-Hop Artists, Level 3:16
Posted September 7, 2011
This morning, I thought I’d throw out a music video that has really impacted me. I typically prefer pop-rock, but every once in a while certain hip-hop artists catch my attention.
Level 3:16 recently put out this video titled “Tell ‘Em“. They could have left out the verbal banter at the beginning of the video, but they were trying to set the stage for the content of this song, which is amazing! The conversational style of this artist’s rapping really pulled me in and clearly points to Jesus.
Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did! Check it out below.

- How have you been impacted by a song or artist?
- Do you have any links to music videos that might have a positive impact on others, pointing them to Jesus?
Hi Jeremy,
I really like the song “You love me Anyway” by the Sidewalk Prophets. It clearly outlines the gospel. I like the lyrics “I am the thorn in His brow” and the “nail in His wrist” but He loves me anyway. It shows me the dpeth of my sin and my inability to win favour with God. “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus” is also another favourite of mine.
In Christ,
Jenna Guerette
Thanks for posting your thoughts Jenna! I’m not sure that I’ve checked out the Sidewalk Prophets, but I should check them out!
I was recently really impacted by the song “Beautiful things” by Gungor. The beautiful things that God can make from turmoil, and terrible things often amazes me and has been my prayer for many of my friends in difficult situation recently.
Check out the full post to see Gungor’s wonderful song and video.
