CONSIDER CREATIVITY
Communicating With Our World: Part 5
Our last piece to Communicating With Our World is to Consider Creativity. Here’s a recap of what we’ve covered this week:
- Part 1: Christians Are…Annoying
- Part 2: Consider Compassion
- Part 3: Consider the Cost
- Part 4: Consider Culture
In John 3:16, we read, “…God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The same God who created the awe-inspiring wilderness, has also created heaven. The next time you’re on a mountaintop looking down into a river-valley, just try to imagine how beautiful heaven must be.
After spending time in creation, it would be easy to surmise that our eternal life will be spent in a place that is the masterpiece of God’s creativity.
And yet, we are His masterpiece.
According to Scripture, His masterpiece is humanity. We are actually the pinnacle of His creativity, made in His image. And if our God is a creative Creator, surly we as His pinnacle should be able to show some creativity.
Especially when we’re communicating.
Strive For Creativity
As effective Christians, we’ve got to use the brains that we’ve been given, when we’re communicating God’s Message to our world.
In the Western society, we have many resources at our fingertips. Creativity should be at the core of our communication.
An Important Reminder
All of these items of communicating with our world can only come from a church that communicates with one another. And communicating within the church can only come from individuals who communicate with our Saviour.
The amazing works that we achieve in our churches should encourage us. However, may we never get too busy communicating with our world that we neglect communicating with the Saviour of our world.
This Week
As we interact with the people of our towns and cities, may we show compassion to everyone, may we willingly pay the cost, may we cross cultural boundaries and may we be creative as we communicate with our world.
Can I Get Your Feedback?
