COMMUNICATING IN THE LIGHT
Communicating With Our Church: Part 1
At ChurchLeadership.org, I found a definition of sorts regarding communication in the church by Dr. Richard J. Krejcir:
“Communicating productively is one of the most important skills in life and in a good church. Effective communication is being willing to convey our honest thoughts, attitudes, feelings, and actions to others in a kind and active listening manner that reflects and glorifies Christ.”
Last week, we discussed “Communicating With Our Saviour“, with a heavy emphasis on our need to bring the Word of God into each and every day of our lives. And this week, we move on to “Communicating With Our Church.“
1 John 1:5-7
“5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 Jn. 1:5-7)
Our central verse for this week, will be 1 John 1:7: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
This Week:
- Our Resource: “…if we walk in the light…“
- Our Research: “….as He is the light…“
- Our Results: “…we have fellowship with one another…“
