4 REASONS WHY I LOVE MY CHRONOLOGICAL STUDY BIBLE

Do you struggle with daily Bible reading?

I think we all do at some point in our lives. Thankfully, there are some great resources to help us stay on track with our spiritual walk and get us into Scripture on a more regular basis. Today, I’d like to feature one such resource.

A few months ago, I purchased a hard cover copy of the Chronological Life Application Study Bible (CLASB). It has made a big difference in my daily biblical intake. So much so, that I thought I would give you my favourite highlights about this version of Scripture.

  1. Chronological Order: Many a Christian has opened the Bible, starting in Genesis 1. As they walk their way through the Old Testament, timeline can become a struggle to keep straight. Personally, the CLASB has given me the opportunity to see connections in both Scriptural account and God’s promises, that I had forgotten or had not seen before.
  2. Maps & Graphics: The photos, graphics and maps definitely help pull the reader into the words. Unlike many Bibles that use graphics, the CLASB has tastefully and applicably placed each image; adding to the words that surround them.
  3. Study Notes: The Life Application portion of the CLASB is excellent! There is a careful balance between archeological evidence (usually proven with a validating image) and expository notes to bring the verses from learning to applying.
  4. Timeline & Character Charts: Just in case your memory can’t keep all the Biblical evidence and accounts in a linear format; the CLASB provides some great tools. Various books and chapters will hold colourful and well organised charts, easily describing where each person or place fit into a particular event or the grand story of the Bible.

These 4 points are obviously, just my opinion on the Chronological Life Application Study Bible. I use it every morning, before I start writing a blog post, answering and email or checking out social networks.

Biblical study and devotional time is a discipline, to be sure. However, the CLASB makes it just a bit easier.
