3 Vantage Points to See That God Is in Control
Are You Living Like God Is in Control?
Most of us would say we believe God is in control, but do we live like it? What if we truly started each day with that mindset?
Maybe you’re facing a major life decision. Perhaps you’ve already made up your mind, but the next steps feel overwhelming. Maybe there’s something (pride, fear, or sin) blocking your ability to see the bigger picture. Or maybe life feels comfortable, but deep down, you know comfort hasn’t been beneficial.
Time to Refocus and Trust That God Is in Control
It’s time to set the alarm early, schedule a quiet morning, and intentionally reflect on your life and calling.
This week, grab a hot cup of coffee at your favourite café or diner. Find a quiet corner; somewhere you’re seen, yet clearly there with purpose. Take a serious look at where God is leading you and remind yourself that He has a plan for your life.
Three Vantage Points to See That God Is in Control
1. Look Forward with Intent Consider the goals set before you and acknowledge the obstacles in your way. Trust that God is guiding your path.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)
2. Look to Your Side Recognize the people God has placed around you—those who care deeply and want to see you succeed. Lean into wise counsel and godly friendships.
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
3. Look Behind You Reflect on the times God has pulled you through trials or allowed you to learn through challenges. Each moment—good or bad—has shaped your journey.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Trust and Take the Next Step
After reflecting on these vantage points, take some notes. Then, with God’s leading, start making decisions. The next step might feel big and uncertain, but He’s in control. Move forward in faith.
No matter what, hold on to this truth: God is in control.
